Description
Tucked away along the ancient Ara Metua on Rarotonga's east coast, Manongi Sculpture Garden is the life's work of Michel, an 80+-year-old stone carver who sculpts seven hours a day, seven days a week, simply because he loves it. Wander freely through well-kept gardens shaded by coconut palms, where Michel's creations, from Cook Islands-inspired whales and Maori pendants to Buddhas, sit quietly among the trees. Entry is by donation, and every piece is available to take home.
