My adult sisters, brother-in-law and I (7 of us from the US, Dubai, Aotearoa, and Brisbane) were privileged to have experienced the beautiful sunrise on the Atiu coast with Vito. Vito and her husband (he was the second driver and guide given the size of the group) in true Atiuian style were very generous in their hospitality, warmth, and welcome, and most informative about the island and its deep history. Of course, another highlight was the beautiful, healthy and delicious breakfast which included the world famous Atiu coffee, shredded coconut, pikelets, maple syrup, pawpaw, passionfruit and pineapple - with all the fruit grown on Vito's land. "McDonalds" can't beat this! This experience is well worth it and is a "must" on your itinerary. Meitaki Ranuinui!
